Allie turned two over the weekend and we were lucky enough to team up with a few of the most amazing online party resources out there to pull off an unforgettable event! So if you're gathering inspiration for your little one's next birthday bash then you've definitely come to the right place. Allie's rustic farm party was a pretty take on an old favorite without being over the top girly.
A Summer Birthday is the perfect excuse to throw a backyard picnic. The kids loved running around outdoors and then of course appreciated the informality of eating dinner on blankets in the grass. Our dinner menu included items like deli sandwiches, potato salad, deviled eggs, watermelon and chips and dip. I chose pretty farm inspired desserts like a two tiered strawberry cake, mini pies, pistachio macaroons and carrot cupcakes. Red gingham patterns mixed with black and white polkadots really complimented this adorable cardboard cow!
Try elevating a pretty two tiered cake on this beautiful milk glass cake stand. Rolling up these red bandanas in ribbon and setting them in these adorable berry boxes is another sweet idea. This mini wagon will showcase desserts gracefully now and wheel around stuffed animals later!
Try dressing up goodie bags and popcorn containers with these smart little barn stickers.
I taped these windup cows to the inside of our bags so they popped up a bit, then I added some ribbon to the handle. The windup cows and THESE potato sacks were both genius sources of fun!
This red gingham inflatable buffet from Oriental Trading Company was the perfect spot for mini chocolate milks, apple shaped juice containers and classic coca cola bottles.
Adding ice to the bottom of this container also makes it a great home for appetizers or salad bowls! I could have used 2 or 3 of these!
This pony pinata was a huge hit. TIP: Try placing it on a dessert table for added decor until the kids are ready to put it to use. It is an affordable and easy way to add color and height to your tablescape plus the weight of the candy provides balance. Partycity.com has a kit option HERE that comes with the pinata stick and candy!
Tinyprints.com pillows and blankets have become a real family favorite! At first glance, these pillows may not have been an obvious farm themed choice but they ended up matching our cow to a T! These items made for a perfect picnic party.
This Candy table was a party favorite for sure! I started with basic elements from partycity.com then added a few other items to fit our theme. Themed items included vintage egg cartons, berry baskets, pretty crates, gummy fried eggs, candy berries, cowtails, Hoosier Hill Farm Gummies and sweet little burlap bows.
I hot glued fabric similar to this eyelet material to THIS tablecloth for added charm.
