Just because you've become a mom doesn't mean you have to give up your style. In fact, baby gear is more stylish now than it has ever been. So if you are contemplating which items on your list of must haves are actually worth the splurge then you have found your resource.
Sure, buying for baby can be overwhelming but it can be fun too. With two little ones in tow, I have used, reviewed and fallen in love with so many products out there. That's why I've racked my brain and rounded up a list of unbiased, extensively researched baby favorite basics just for you!
Let's start with the chair! Highchairs quickly become a kitchen and dining room staple for many years and also take up a good amount of space in our homes. Sure, your dining room floor may never be as clean as it once was but at least the space will remain design friendly. In fact, today's highchair options are more varied and stylish than they have ever been in the past. Take a look at six of my absolute favorites!
Aden and Anais Swaddles and Bibs | Corolle Dolls | Blabla Dolls and Pillows | Gingiber Sheep Bedding and Pillows | Apple Park Organic Farm Buddies | Land of Nod Baby Blankets | Mini Boden Infant and Baby Wear |
From blankets to bibs and dolls to rattles, above is a breakdown of my absolute favorite brands that specialize in cozy must haves. Because every new parent wants to find the perfect blanket to bring baby home in and every seasoned parent wants to have a great toy on hand for toddler when they need it. You really can't go wrong with any of these picks.
Now that your bedding is covered take a look at a list of my favorite cribs! Baby's crib may be the single most important piece of furniture for your nursery.
I've always loved to have an extra portable size crib in my room as well. It's just nice to have that additional late night landing spot for when baby wakes up more than once. It then of course doubles as an overnight bed for Grandma's house too. We've used this portable crib for both kids and we are still loving it.
As far as a full size crib goes, I've found Pottery Barn Kids, Land of Nod, Stokke and BabyLetto to be well received brands. In my opinion, they are simply the best looking cribs on the market. I love that they all double as toddler beds too.
Safety is really the most important factor when choosing baby's crib so make sure you do your research. It's also interesting to note that bumpers are really a thing of the past.
A good stroller is really a worthwhile splurge as well. Purchasing a top rated stroller will last you years. We have a Single BOB and a Double BOB for running. We have been using the single stroller for the last 5 years and the double stroller for 2. In fact, my baby and preschooler both ride in our double BOB daily. My husband and I are avid runners and take the kids with us everywhere. I can't say enough about this brand if you love to hike and run. Each of my favorites listed above are highly rated and have pros and cons based on your lifestyle. Take a look and
have fun prepping for baby!
